Beyond Textiles: Footwear Takes the Spotlight
Beyond the textile and garment sector, Vietnam is also ranked as the world’s second-largest exporter of footwear. According to LEFASO, the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association, the country’s footwear and leather exports reached US$27.04 billion in 2024, marking an 11.45% year-on-year increase. Export growth is projected to rise by another 10% in 2025, underscoring Vietnam’s strong position in the global footwear supply chain.
To answer this momentum, VFM will expand its scale by bringing together leading footwear machinery suppliers. Highlighted exhibitors like GEJIA INTELLIGENT, CHUANLI, LULUXING, XINGRUIGANG, and JIN YUE LAI will showcase cutting-edge solutions. From footwear machinery to automatic pneumatic last machines, designed to boost efficiency, precision, and sustainability in footwear manufacturing. Their participation strengthens VFM’s role as a platform that drives transformation across the footwear industry.
Vietnam Green Forward: Circularity, Functionality & Sustainability
The United States, European Union, Japan, and South Korea remain Vietnam’s key export markets, where sustainability, recycling, and supply-chain transparency are becoming essential requirements. For Vietnam, still reliant on virgin inputs and fragmented waste systems, this shift is both a challenge and an opportunity.
In light of these developments, from October 15th to 17th, the 3-day seminars will focus on circularity, functionality, and sustainability, bringing together leading experts, industry pioneers, and academic researchers. Sessions will explore innovative solutions such as building a green textile supply chain, producing shoe soles from recycled material, and low-carbon manufacturing practices. By addressing both global trends and local challenges, the seminars aim to provide participants with valuable insights and useful strategies to speed up Vietnam’s textile, garment, and footwear industries toward a greener and more competitive future.
