VTG 2024 Draws Record Crowds, Showcases Global Leaders in Textile Innovation

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – The 22nd Vietnam International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition, VTG 2024, with VFM, VITATEX and, DYECHEM, successfully concluded its latest edition, attracting an unprecedented 15,468 visitors from around the world. Held from September 25 to 28 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), this year’s event showcased cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions, reinforcing its position as the premier platform for industry professionals.

With 414 exhibitors representing 12 countries and regions—including Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam—VTG 2024 occupied an impressive 15,000 square meters of exhibition space. The scale and diversity of participants highlighted the growing global demand for innovation in the textile and garment industries, as businesses look to improve efficiency and embrace eco-friendly practices.

Global Perspectives and Opportunities

Exhibitors from various regions expressed their enthusiasm for Vietnam's thriving textile and garment sector.

Ms. Phạm Thị Quyên, Sales Manager of MORIRIN VIETNAM, noted, “Vietnam’s strengths lie in its abundant labor force, highly skilled workers, and strong government support. I believe Vietnam will continue to hold a prominent position in the global garment market.”

Echoing this optimism, Mr. Kanchana Ranadeera, CEO of T&S BUTTONS, stated, “We see Vietnam as a rapidly growing market. Our chairman, Mr. David Chan, is passionate about expanding here, and we are already exploring opportunities for manufacturing.”

Mr. Nguyễn Thái Trí, Marketing Manager of Sansin, shared his experience, saying, “Post-pandemic, the Vietnamese garment industry, like the broader economy, faced challenges. However, with its strong potential, we believe the industry will grow even stronger in the near future.”

Innovations on Display

Several exhibitors highlighted their innovative solutions for the textile sector.

Ms. Cindy Luong, CEO of SBC, explained, “This year, SBC showcased our three high-tech printing solutions, including fabric roll printing for polyester, which uses a waterless printing process. This method enables us to meet small-quantity orders with timely deliveries.”

Mr. Hàn Ngọc Sơn, Director of Tajima, emphasized, “We focus on introducing textile machinery that drives efficiency and growth in Vietnam’s textile industry. Our latest technologies are designed to deliver highly intelligent and effective solutions.”

In addition, Mr. Lam Minh Cuong, Sales Manager at X-Rite Vietnam, said, “At X-Rite, we focus on eco-friendly solutions and technological advancements. Our color-blending system ensures high production efficiency and accuracy, helping manufacturers reduce costs while maintaining quality.”

Seminars on Industry Trends

VTG 2024 also hosted a series of professional seminars, where industry leaders shared insights on digital transformation and the latest market trends. These sessions provided participants with valuable knowledge and tools to stay competitive in an ever-evolving market.

Following the overwhelming success of VTG 2024, the next edition is scheduled for October 15 to 18, 2025. Once again partnering with VITATEX, DYECHEM, and VFM, VTG 2025 will feature new thematic zones aligned with global textile trends, driving Vietnam’s textile industry into a transformative phase.
