TRACING VIETNAM’S TEXTILE FLOWS: FROM FACTORY SCRAPS TO POST-CONSUMER WASTE
Director, CEL | Co-Founder, Vietnam Supply Chain | Founder, LoopNet.asia & Laiday Refill
Time: 11:00 - 12:00
Place: Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), Booth.B016
Brief Introduction:
Vietnam’s textile sector is a global powerhouse, but the rise of synthetics and blended fibers makes recycling increasingly complex. The Vietnam Textile Transparency Report 2025, conducted by CEL, presents one of the country’s first evidence-based mappings of wearable textile flows. Using infrared scanning and material flow analysis, the study traces garments, footwear, and accessories from production scraps and retail shelves to secondhand markets and post-consumer waste. The findings provide new insights into recyclability, material leakage, and opportunities for advancing reuse and textile-to-textile recycling in Vietnam.
